Turbo questions, am I on the right track?

Anyone running an SXE369 or similar turbo on a street driven 12 valve? I see a lot of common rail guys running them as a single, but I know my 12 valve won't spool anything nearly as well.

I'm benching the pump and getting some 5x.18 injectors at the same time as I upgrade the turbo, also a looser stall converter is in the works. My goals are a low 11 quarter mile in a 5800lb pickup. I should need to be in the 700hp ballpark according to the calculator on here.
A 369 as a single should get me there, shouldn't it? Will it be a slow spooling ***** driving it around town though? I'm not against compounds but I never will tow with this thing so I don't really want the drive pressure and head gasket issues that seem to be more common with compounds.
or am I just over thinking it

With a loose stall and some tuning, I'd think you'd be ok if you know how to drive. I had the 69 on a 5 speed and it was less than desirable even with a healthy pump and injectors, went back to the 63 68.

I ran a 69sxe on my truck for almost a year.. I have a 2200 stall converter, benched pump, 5x20s and 20* of timing.. Spooled pretty good with the .9 housing. and pulled hard! The reason I got rid of it was I was making 70+psi of boost and was over speeding it. Whole shaft was blue from heat when I got it rebuilt

Yeah I can see how that wouldn't be great on a 5 speed truck. I do have AFC live for "tuning"

Any ideas if I would be ok with the non-gated .91 T4 housing?
Or would I be happier with an internally wastegated .83 T4 housing?
How about the 68mm turbine vs the 73?
Would I be choking it too much with a .83 and 68mm combo?

I appreciate the help,

No I never took it to the track or dyno... Did pull harder than my current setup that dynoed 500hp/950ftlbs at the wheels

I was running a .91 t4 non gated housing... To make them live for a long time I would say yes to a gated housing. also stay away from the 68 turbine.. the 69 compressor is already a lot for the 73 turbine to handle
