Man this has been a long time coming. So am I correct in the thought that it will use the predator tunning, with a monitor?

Yes, it will be similar to the Predator tuning, but with new interfaces and graphics and what not...

Will also have 2 analog inputs for monitoring Boost, EGT, etc...

Very COOL!

Will this work in conjunction with the Extreme Puck? I put the extreme puck on about a month ago and I can't say enough. Having the ability to add power as needed rocks! I know what the truck dynoed with the regular puck and I cant wait to see the new numbers.

Yes, the Trinity will actually be able to control the Extreme PowerPuck's "Diablo-Dial" from the touch screen interface (as well as other analog devices)

The tunes available will be similar to our current Predator tunes, so a 40 hp tow tune, a 65 hp economy/performance tune, an 85 hp performance tune, and the 120 hp extreme performance tune.

Thanks
Mike

it doesnt do any more than the PMT, which has been out for over a year. So "the most advanced programmer on the market" isnt exactly true. yeah it has a pretty screen and such but why does that make it the most advanced?

It doesnt defuel when parameters are dangerous.

just curious how it gets labeled the most advanced. It looks nice but if it cant match whats already out there than it will be hard to compete.

, I was just about to copy/paste my same reply to this same question from our forum, till I realized GRI and God Ram It are likely one in the same....

OK, for those who missed it, here's how I see them stacking up:

Lets see, the ~$800 Trinity vs. the $1175 PMT, OK, here goes:

The PMT allows you to monitor up to a whopping 4 entire parameters at once...
Trinity will allow you to build layouts with up to 6 gauges per page, with up to 6 pages to scroll through on the fly, for up to 36 parameters at once. No comparison.

PMT Dodge Power:
# Tow (30 added HP approximately)
# Performance (75 added HP approximately)
# Extreme (115-140 added HP approximately)

Trinity Dodge Power:
Tow 65 HP
Econ/Perf 100 HP
Extreme Road Kill Larry 160 HP(03-05) 180 HP(06-07)
(custom tunes for up to 200 RWHP available for 03-05 trucks as well)

Looks like once again, no comparison.

PMT GM Power:
# Tow (30 added HP approximately)
# Performance (75 added HP approximately)
# Extreme (115-140 added HP approximately)(Not available for the LMM)

Trinity GM Power:
Tow 40 HP
Econ 65 HP
Perf 85 HP
Extreme 120 (100 in LMM)

We win again, this is fun!

PMT Ford Power:
# Tow (30 added HP approximately)
# Performance (75 added HP approximately)
# Extreme (115-140 added HP approximately)

Trinity Ford Power:
6.0:
Tow 40 HP
Econ/Perf 65 HP
Extreme 100 HP

6.4:
Tow 30 HP
Econ 50 HP
Perf 80 HP
Extreme kill em all get the %#@& out the way 160 HP

Well, now I wonder how approximate their numbers are, since it is pretty scary making much more that 100 HP to the wheels on a stock, unstudded 6.0, maybe they are quoting flywheel numbers? All Trinity power levels are as measured at the rear wheels.

Now, lets cover supported applications:

PMT:
- Dodge 5.9L, 6.7L '03-'08
- Ford 6.0L, 6.4L '03-'08
- GM 6.6L '01-'08

Trinity:
Dodge 03-07 5.9
Ford 03-09 6.0/6.4
GM 06-09 6.6

PLUS:
05-up HEMI gas LX/WK applications
03-05 Neon SRT4/PT GT turbo
05-up Mustang
04-up F150
...and thats just for starters.

Eventually the Trinity will support all vehicles currently supported by different Predator part numbers, and then some.
By the time the tool is released, it will likely also have support for the 03-08 HEMI Rams, and maybe more.

Thanks
Mike

yes I am the same one. why dont you post my arguments then.

36 parameters does it matter? there are 4 real important ones that any of us diesel guys care about and even less with the gassers. so a feature that isnt real important.

dont forget about the Crazy larry tune for the PMT, which matches your highes tune and then some.

and it has one part number. big deal. Like its so difficult to order a setup for your truck. the part number is easy only for the manufacturer and vendor but most consumers dont care.

In my opinion the less models covered the better as the more you have the more crap can go wrong with it.
and dealer map pricing on the PMT is $945 and the GT which does more is at $649 so again the trinity still doesnt look like the be all end all.

not trying to be a jerk but really what makes this better than anything out there?
I ran the predator and ran the BDTD and the PMT and the predator was not my choice.

If you added Defueling and some other features that are already offered on other stuff, then I agree this would be a force to reckon with but as it is currently it doesnt live up to the label.

You guys make good products for a good price, but I thought I would see a little bit more stuff as it has been in the works and talked about for so long.

hopefully those features get added and then you will be on top.

on a side note
what options will us diesel guys have for monitoring EGTS and tranny temp? I know it has afew spots for inputs to be plugged in. but will diablo be able to supply these when the trinity is purchased? will they come with it? ect

one other quick question. are you still not going to be able to shift on the fly?
or will that be in there?

everything about the trinity sounds awesome except for a few little (but major) options

Shift on the fly is not planned for the initial release, but you will be able to adjust the power level of your Puck on the fly.

Thanks
