Ford born

Whats up guys I’m coming to ya from N.C.!!!
I’ve been driving Diesels most of my life and I’ve always serviced my own vehicles and for the most part they’ve served us well. 6yrs ago I sold one of my 7.3s and my 6.0 and I bought a 2012 6.7. I got busy having kids (3-boys🤦🏻*♂️)and working and had little time to spend on my vehicles.
I bought the 6.7 for reliability purpose and also because it was mfg by ford.
So here we go for 6yrs I’ve had 3 issues, cracked radiator and 2 dpf sensors. The truck has 140k miles on its paid for itself a few times over. I recently noticed mpg drop by 15% or more and then I started pulling a trailer that maybe weighs 2000lb and before I knew it was avg 9mpg.
I really considered trading up to a 16-17 then realized maybe with a few modifications I could rejuvenate this beast😅.
Long story short im all in now. I deleted the egr, dpf, and got a SCT livewire and regret like hell not doing it the first week I bought the 6.7.
Im rather impressed.
However this is why I’m here. I’m rather ignorant to everything and how it actually works and how to properly maintain moving forward. I have a real hard time trusting local mechanics and I’m in search of that go to guy that’ll help steer me in the right direction. I’m questioning everything I’ve done, so much info on the web and it seems everyone has the answer.
I just purchased a MPD Budget turbo and that’ll be going in soon. I know my tunes have to be revised and I just want to be confident in my choices.

Anyway it’s good being here!!!!
