TS 6 position chips....

Need some verification on the status of a 7.3 psd ford w/ 6-position chip installed.

An end user mentioned today that they do not want to use a chip in their truck because the OBDII port will not give their scan tool accurate readings from the truck if the chip is stacked on the ECM.... IS this true or has he been miss-informed?

Just saw your question.

He has been told incorrectly. When a chip is plugged into the J-Port it does not alter the readings from the OBDII port.

Thanks Shelia, I will pursue the sale with the confirmed information. This customer is somewhat of a repair facility with an OBDII Scan tool from Snap On or somewhere like that. He was after an evolution tuner because he thought it was one of the only ways to get performance and keep diagnostic tools working properly.
