Upfitter Switches

i wasnt lucky enough to get the switches so i did them myself. was VERY EASY, took me and my daughter about 15 minutes.

I started by buying the kit from ebay from fordupfitter, cost was about 140 bucks.

hes got instructions with the kit, heres picks to go along.

start by popping off the silver trim piece thats got your vent and lights in it. you need to pop the bottom loose, them the rest will follow.

you will have a bracket that sticks out without anything mounted and lots of space around it. That is where the fuse box will bolt in.

once the fuses are in you need to pop the panel off under the wheel. start by poping the bottom loose then slide it up and the rest will follow. if you look straight up into the dash from the floor board by the gas pedal, you will see a grey connector and wire harness and theres nothing but a dead plug on it. that is where the grey connector from the new fuse box connects and gets you power.

once that is in you need to ground the other wire.

then youve got one small wire harness that goes to the switches, similar to a phone jack. you must send it up to the coin/brake controller area. its very tight, i used a piece of wire to fish it up thru the cluster. i poped the little black trey above the gas pedal out to help fish the wire. once u pop the coin tray out(real PITA) you can plug the switches in and pop them in.

now youve got switches. theres a nice little sticker on the wire harness that says what wire goes to each switch. without anything hooked to them they still light up when flipped.

hope this helps guys!!

Josh
