Introductions

Hi, Names Gus out in Connecticut I own a 2001 Ram2500 with an ISB in it(well was) About 8 months ago found out the hard way it was a 53 block when I put a from front to back. Trashed the head too so I started from scratch. signed up because I’m looking to buy some parts and gather some knowledge. I’m a Diesel Mechanic by trade mostly big stuff Class 8’s, Tri-Axles, Eqiupment, Gensets etc high performance I don’t know a lot but I’d definitely love to talk and learn.

Build is in the early stages

55 block has been bored over due to cylinder 1 dropping a valve

24v Head was rebuilt resurfaced O-ringed P&P’d and I threw in some Crower springs (110#)

Running New OEM Valve bridges, 6.7L rocker assemblies, Manton Series 3 Pushers (1/2 .120) Hamilton Cams 1.45” tappets, Still need to take my measurements to decide on the Camshaft. QUESTION!!! How many Camshaft bushings should I be running? not comfortable with the single up front.

Fuel side I’m converting to a P7100 system. 215 pump haven’t made a final decision on upgrades but I’m thinking Full cut DV’s, .120 DV Holders, 4k’s Gov Spings, afc springs, Mack rack cap, dual feed inlets, upgraded OFV, .093 lines and tubes, 6x0.013(maybe bigger)

NO IDEA on the air portions I know compounds but I’m still inventing the wheel.

There’s a lot more so if you’re curious just ask.

Stay with stock size delivery valve holders and stock diameter lines. Totally unnecessary with a 12mm pump.

Would it reduce efficiency? Perhaps down the road I’d jump to a 13mm pump

I'm running a 13mm now with stock diameter lines, open holders though.
