I’m wondering if I run say a tci outlaw shifter on my 04.5 with a constant pressure manual valve body would I be able to eliminate the tv cable? Been having endless issues with it. Just wanna explore options to eliminate or have a custom length cable.

What are your issues with the cable?

Adding length to the cable wouldn't change anything, would have to change the leverage point at the trans tv lever.

I have a dual fueler set up on the truck with the apps bracket relocated. Wel the cable is entirely to long and I am at end for adjustment. and it just doesn’t want to cooperate and every few weeks the cable will loosen up and then I have shifting issues cable is only three weeks old.

Being the cable is attached at both points, cable length shouldn't matter.

Does it run best with the cable adjustment pulled back all the way?

Set it there and go flat foot the pedal, with it not running. And see if it gets pulled back from there.

Usually you can set them up nice all the way pulled back, and as soon as you floor it, pulls the adjuster back forward about 6clicks.

Have to modify the trans mounted lever to keep that setting.

I’ll try that. It kept loosening up and I would have to floor it till about 3k let off and then it would shift. That’s why I was contemplating the fmvb. Thank you though for the help!
