"Gas" valves in a Diesel engine?

So I've found a set of valves that could be perfect for my application. As far as I can tell the head shape and stem diameter at the valve head would provide some performance benefits as well.

I'm concerned about the difference in combustion temperatures between gas and diesel.

Thoughts?

show a pic of the 2 valves. i don't think the temp concern you raised is a factor. nitro cars have hollow valve stems with a liquid in them to disapate heat. the stem and the seat are the only ways to get the heat out of the valve. there is nothing special about normal valves in that regard.

Stainless exhaust valve wont last very long over 1500*. Just depends on your plan on the motor. You need inconnel exhaust valves if its any type of competition motor. Stainless work fine in intakes though.
