Does anyone know of a company that I could mail my connecting rods to after I polish them to get peened? I have been looking online without much luck. There is a semi-local place that says they do shot Peening on their website but when I called to get a price they said they just blast them and it is the same thing?
With that being said I actually have a neighbor who works for a pretty large heat treating company and he said he can shot blast them. Is this the same thing just different terminology?
If anyone has any insight to give it would be greatly appreciated, I had to pull my engine out again after a main bearing crapped out, which I’m still trying to figure out why, and I’m just wanting to upgrade a few things while it’s apart.
