I'm a little confused here and thought maybe some of y'all could help. I have a 96 250 shortbed 5 spd. I was cruising through a parking lot earlier today in 2nd and the truck just shut off. Not everything, just the engine. Kinda confused, I pushed the clutch in and cranked it back up....seemed fine. I went 20 ft and it did it again. Same thing, restarted and off I went only this time it stayed running. Hmmmm? Went the rest of the day with no issues it seemed and then it did it again at 70mph on my way home down the hwy. Okay. ....WTF! I was thinking maybe the fuel heater, but that usually results in a no crank no start issue due to the fuse blowing. I've got three other ideas. Cam sensor, IPR, or the IDM. I'm gonna put a cam sensor in it anyways since they're cheap, but I was curious what others may have to say.
