Using an AMS-1000 with your gates

Which style of your gates works best with boost controllers?
(Not using boost, or drive pressure to actuate the piston)

I will be using an on-board air system with it, and would like to know if the snap ring style hold the piston/cylinder pressures better, or the v band clamp style.

Also, do you have any 400R or 500R gates in stock, ready to ship?

We used Tial V60 Wastegates on Cagedfury and they worked well. I'm sure others work just as good but we had good luck with Tial.

I've had complaints about all diaphragm gates rupturing under high pressure air from the top port.
This is why all of our stuff is piston.

400r are in stock for the moment, 500Rs are waiting on clamps.
Clamps ship hopefully on the 18th but it'll be the 24th till we can ship.
The std. 500s don't have a pressure problem , mainly just less convenient.
With HP air available you won't know the difference.
Ask for p/n TK260-D, it'll come preloaded w/ the heavy springs.

I don't want the heavy springs...I want the lightest one I can get.
The AMS boost controller will be doing all the control for me.

Now...I have a 400R already, with v band connections. It is presently mounted in front of the primary turbo, in a "flange gate" style.
I may just pull that out, use a standard T6 open flange there, and use the 400R by itself, venting to atmosphere.

Do you think a 40mm vented to atmosphere will be able to control enough, or should I step up to a 50mm, or use 2 40mm's?

Nooo I'm not that kind of guy... now if somebody wants to pimp their wares here...
The other guys stuff can work but my stuff usually offers some advantages at competitive prices.

Are you moving gates closer to the main stream? Those long wg inlet pipes are an issue in my mind.

I'm trying to use one 40mm gate. V band connections.
They will be merged together, trying to keep them separate right up to the bottom of the gate.
Trying to keep the gate less than 4" away from the pipes.
It will be vented to the atmosphere.
It will be controlled to hold from 60-80psi on the top of the piston. (With the lightest spring)
The "tube" will be as close to the pipe angle as I can make it, so the exhaust flow is pushing up on the bottom of the gates valve face.

I'm going to try to get the gate pipe coming off the corners of the up pipes for the fastest flow.
