Talking Finally Joined the Four Digit Club!

After messing with this stuff for over 15 years I have finally joined the 4 digit club!

ZMBYKLR 24OCT17 Dyno - YouTube

Dynoing and tuning ZMBYKLR at Truck Source Diesel after switching from 285/150 hybrid injectors to 330/150 hybrid injectors. It did 1018rwhp but they said the dyno seems to be reading about 30-40 hp lower since they moved for some reason. So it's somewhere between a 70rwhp gain and a 105rwhp gain, lol. The track will tell. Didn't spend a whole lot of time messing with the jets either so there may be some more to play with there as well.

Here are the numbers. The 740 was on fuel. The 816 was on the small first stage (like a .053). The 968 was on both stages (about a .053 and a .093). The 1018 was bumping the first stage jet up to a .078.

Correct. T4, 83 turbine.

I'm actually looking to get a 75/87 T4 now. Drive pressures have crept up with the new fuel. So if you know anyone selling one or anyone that needs a great working 72.....

Wonder how it'd like a T6? I know a lot of cummins guys saw little no spool difference but top end power gained...a lot.

Thanks! And thanks for the DOTW article. The "runs 11's" comment will help me a lot when I'm lying at the street races, lol.

Hahahaha that's exactly why I did it. Just start talking about how technically the best you've ever ran was a 12.1 but "it's got more in it"

If it's on the Internet, it must be true

Seriously though, that thing has turned into one mean truck.

Yup. I should be there Sunday. Played around some this past weekend. Ran a trailered race car that hung the wheels in the air and got me by about 2 cars in the 1/8, lol. But the truck is doing great. And I haven't put the bigger jet in yet. I can launch at 25psi on the nitrous and about 30psi on fuel with no hopping or rear wheel spin. Just have to fight the front tires a little sometimes if they break loose.

Race car vs street truck. Lol

And the video. I wish they would've got a vid from the starting line so you could see the car pick up the front wheels. I don't think the car shifted even. I know he was having some trans issues. Sounds like he is hung up in gear right before we come into the video frame.

And a neat aerial pic from that day. One of the guys that races out there was piloting a helicopter and took some pics.
