I am also curious about this on a 2007.5 6.7. I turned off post injection and got about a 3/4 per gallon increase

Does your truck sound like a 12v then?

Not to me. CR's have 3 events and I only turned off 1. If I remember correctly the 12v only has 1 event.

To sound like a 12v the truck will just run on the main injection event. Hence a single injection event tune.

I have a single shot tune in my 5.9 csp 5 tune and it sounds like a 12v. It gets as good as mileage as my usual tune with a pilot but is doesn't have the throttle response and is smokey. I'll run it occasionally just to make me smile. I'd run a pilot and main with the best timing for eco. Only 5.9 experience for me.

on my 6.7 i got better fuel mileage, no smoke and the response is the same (measured with my butt-o-meter)

It sounds like you may need to adjust your timing tinman
