Vp tune

Trying to clean up some smoke, saw the single injection common rail tuning on YouTube and it instantly sparked my attention. Reached out to innovative diesel this morning. Anyone have anything bad to say? Does it do damage to hard parts? Where anything out faster? Thanks in advance.

It's not gonna hurt anything. They annoy me, but that's just me. I'd rather hear them not rattle but I do have customers that request them so I do write them.

Are you concerned about the haze or when on the throttle?

And who is doing your tuning?

I'm concerned about the haze and the throttle. Innovative just sent me tunes. So far the vp tune seems clean and no idle haze

I ran a VP tune for a while and it seemed to work fine for me on stock injectors. I have pilot on under 1000rpm though so it would idle quietly.

Would the single injection event actually prolong injector life through less wear

You would think so since it's only firing once per cycle instead of twice or thrice.
