Still trying to locate another APPS. In the mean time I bought the Mopar upgrade for Auto Engineuity. From the generic codes I have consistently seen:
P1652 J1850 communications bus
P0517 battery temp sensor ckt high. The reading is 5 out of 5 volts. I am trying to get that sensor now.
P0628 Fuel pump A control ckt low. I have an Air Dog installed. Should I have a sensor somewhere in the low side fuel plumbing?
And freeze frame for DTC P0622
calculated load 0
Coolant temp 131
Intake MAP 28.9
RPM 0
Vehicle speed 0
Intake air temp 63 F
Do any of these have the potential to make Rail Pressure act stupid when even slight throttle is applied?

Thanks

Here is a screen shot of Auto Engineuity with engine under load. Brake torquing it. Are any of the readings of interest in diagnosing defueling issues?

Another screen shot

Just tried a different CP3. No change. Pulled air horn to make sure it was clear. nothing found. Ran the truck with it off. Good air flow out of intercooler. Got a few codes that might shed some light? Still trying to locate the under the battery box style TPS.

Call me. I have the correct apps, a good auto ecm for that year and the factory service manuals. Feel like we can figure it out

CMIIW, but I believe the 2004 or 2004.5 ECM pinouts for the APPS are set according to the original flash and re-flashing won't change them.

Mark.
Homewrecker helped out. Turns out my "2004.5" has an ECM that matches the pin outs from an 05! Guy I got it from was sure the APPS was on the gas pedal, not under the battery box. But still have the stumble, surge, stall with light throttle and load. So far, I have tried FCA, CP3, replaced lift pump W new Air Dog, APPS, and verified APPS wiring. Next will be verifying the wiring to the other sensors. When the stumble occurs, I see the RP drop, while signal commanding it stays steady. Still scratching.

Am I crazy or shouldn't the commanded rail pressure climb as you ease into the pedal? I'd try to get a pedal and ecm from the same running truck and swap it in.

Soon as I can locate one. Homewrecker came to shop. We found 2 cross over tubes loose. And replaced the high pressure bypass and RPS. Same old.... Thought we found it with the loose tubes. Initially, I was able to brake torque it with no stumble. As soon as I tried to drive out of lot, it stalled. Not much is left that has not been swapped or replaced. ECM is next. The plot sickens!

Found the problem. It runs like a bear! I got lazy and reused the Ford power for the new Air Dog. We'd changed about everything. Still ran like a bag of Aholes. Decided to try the Air Dog provided relay which used the fuel control from the Cummins ECM. Done. Thanks for the help.
