Tfod-3 manual shift kit in 48re

Hey everybody. Ive finally decided to put a full manual valvebody in my 48re. I want to use the transgo tfod-3 kit but apparently it "doesn't work" in a 48re. Does it actually work or is it just not recommended because of harsh shifting being that the 48re is already a higher pressure vb than the 47re? I do have a 47re vb I could use but don't trust myself to vb weld the passage ways to get 2nd gear lock up. Is where a better way to block the passage?

It would be interesting to know what is needed to use the TFOD-3 kits in a 48RE valvebody. There are companies that offer full manual 48RE valve bodies.
