Honestly stay out of 2nd high. I broke mine with around 700 pulling 2nd high.

My truck likes 5th with 4.56s.:rockwoot:

I've seen them break at 480hp and up. We've been welding them up where they break when we put a new one in and it seems to help.

Sounds like I would take that zf out and put in a NV4500.

Why?

NV4500s don't break to?

If your pulling on the high side your going break it. ZF6, NV5600, NV4500, all are at their best in direct.

Gear your truck so you can pull direct

broke my output when I decided to try it once, once. Was probably around 800-900hp then. Have never put it on the high side since and never broke since even at much higher hp levels.
