Very nice!
Are you running a business out of it, or just your personal play area?

Jeremy the shop looks great I noticed no insulation what are your plans for the inside ?
I am going to insulate mine and then put up tin on the inside as well.

Thanks!
Had to get the floor done first. Plan is to plywood or tin the walls and then blow fiberglass insulation into the walls and ceiling. If I used normal bated insulation I would have to run some kind of a board floor to ceiling every 18" and that would a pain so we decided to just to go blown in. Now for fun I asked about doing the spray on foam. The blown in fiberglass for the whole building is about $4500. To do the whole thing with the spray foam was $35,000. I decided the fiberglass would suffice lol

With the floor heat, as long as it insulated decent, and sealed up halfway tight, you won't believe how well the heat stays in there. Nice thing with blown in, in a few years when it settles in, you can have more blown in.
Floor heat is awesome in a shop...except when you are working under a truck on the floor...gets hot in a hurry under there.

Do not use plywood or OSB. Metal is brighter, cleaner and zero maintenance. Made the mistake of using wood in a shop. Eventually bows out from the insulation, if you paint it it takes more than you can ever imagine and eventually turns yellow. Never again.

Yeah, I would second metal as well. Give it a wash down every year, and you'll keep it clean.

Nice shop Jeremy! Im jealous of those heated floors! Another vote for metal and its safer from fire hazards. You can span bigger distances with it between centers. If you do go with metal use white it helps broadcast light and makes for a nice bright shop. If you need to do this in stages $$$ you can always throw a heavy spec plastic vapor barrier on the walls to hold the insulation until you can pony up for all the metal. Ceiling will need the metal right away to support the insulation and install your lighting. I recommend six bulb T5 lighting for your ceiling height.

Thanks guys! I will see what the metal costs. I budgeted for the plywood but have been having 2nd thoughts all a long about it. The floor was really a no brainer for me. Spend a little extra to put the tube in and if I can't get the boiler done right away then so be it but you can never go back and install the tube later. My dad turns 60 this year and I'm tired of seeing him laying out in the snow and rain working on stuff. This project has been going for sometime (3 years). The original builder stole our $15,000 deposit and ran off. So its kinda bitter sweet its to this point
