Is it nessesary to keep the fuel line running through the ficm? Im upgrading to 1/2" lines and the ficm was sized for 3/8" lines. I want to eliminate that resriction.

No it doesn't have to have the fuel running through, I have my dry, but it is moved off the engine to the top of the fan shroud, but it can be left dry in the factory position as well.
