03 leaking between t-case and transmission

My truck is leaking bad in between the transferr case and transmission. On visual inspection the paper gasket is hanging out and its clearly coming from that area. Just wondering if this is common, if it's an internal seal that's broken causing internal pressure or could it just have worked its way out? Loos bolts cause this? I'm on location working and about 450 miles from home and just trying to troubleshoot

I wouldn't think the Allison and tcase share fluid but I'm not sure.

They don't. Is it trans fluid or tcase fluid?

Almost 100% positive it is trans fluid

It's trans fluid. It's low on the dip stick

Pull the fill plug on the t-case just to be sure of the level and what its filled with.

Had to take the truck to a shop here local since I'm 450 miles from home working and couldn't mess with it. They found that the tail shaft on the transmission was cracked. Transfer case was just about to break completely off. The flexing wore the seals causing them to leak or I would've never known about the problem until it broke completely off I guess. There was never any excessive vibration or anything. The fluid leak was the only indication.

Has anyone seen this problem before? I'll have pics up soon.

Common problem. Might want to have that shop double check your ujoints or if the driveshaft is out of balance.
