Yes you can run 2x 5”turbo but maybe a bit to big for this low rpm.

Max 5”was introduced to save cost maybe and for safety. Some turbo parts on some tractor came out of the hood despite the turbo casing resounding the turbo so thicker plating and max size per turbo was implemented into the role book.

Hoogblokland. Last pulling event. MJV2 truck as new tyres so did some experimenting on it ending up just behind the MVJ3 truck in the pulloff.
MVJ3 truck now holding 3e place overall in the championship and we still have one event to go before end of competition so any thing is still possible.

What do you think about Scania 15,6 liter puller with stock ECU and with stock engine except turbos and injectors ? From 2:29 Race Trucks 8500 kg Kalajoki 18.8.2018 - YouTube

If its able to run 8,5Ton make sure it participating on the European championship pulling event here in Holland end of this year and we know what it dos compared to the rest. .
If it will make some power it will bent the connrods. . So can you run them top in class as standard engine, not any more for many years.

Maye good for Hobby sport class.

No, it was built for our 6500 kg class, they just added weight and tested against 8500 kg trucks. Why would it bent conrods at max 2700 rpm ? Bent conrods are usually crappy tuning.

Usually conrods stretch from high rpm, then bend. At 2000 hp at around 2700 rpm torque is about the same some racetrucks have at lower rpm, or some of our working trucks, they dont bend rods. Neither does those Sigma pumped Volvos.

Well the distance between the main journals on a V engine is a lot more than on many inline engines so it will flex a lot more under hi load. So what this dos is it rotated the connecting rod out of alignment with the cylinder liner and bends it out sideways as well so what you end up with is a connecting rod that is twisted between big and small end and gets a funny S shape as well. Any 14l up to 15.6L V8 Scania running some decent power had this problem so if your not bending them you not part of the family and you need to gain some more on your performance level. Let me know if you need some connecting rod and yes we build them so you can rebuild your DC16 gen1 from a 127mm bore to a 130mm bore converting from 15.6L to 16.4L

I think it might help that factory ECU does not have bugs in it, not doing any strange things.

Again Get real mate stop acting like an idiot there it noting to gain for you here. There are loads of DC16 running a mechanical fuelpump these days and yes these can have bugs in them as well. . Seen one last Friday running 4000Rpm as the governor did explode on one of them.

Last nicht 't Heer Abtskerke Volvo van Dijk Ny Titan.

It will be exciting this year for the multiple champion sport class VTN and the championship will be decided in September during the pulling event in Meeuwen. Team Double Trouble, Iveco Eurostar shared first place with Volvo van Dijk in the championship on points.

Sport class is close to a road going semi truck and to keep the power a bit down they have to use an inlet retricktor and run only 2500RPM.
The engine on this Volvo is a D16G 16L engine with a BorgWarner S588SX-E turbo and the engine will make something like 1500 to 1600 Hp and 1000Hp @ little over 1000Rpm so due inlet restriction low end power is massive as the turbo will only make decent boost from 1800RPM and lower.

This combination of a 2L VW TDI engine with a S366SX-E is insane and shows how good these turbo are and yes must admit I did not think it would spool up that easy and hold boost when RPM drops on the engine but a lot more fuel and removing the speed governor on the fuelpump did the trick.

First place in pulloff.

Oh wow. I've been thinking about the jeep swap kits with the 2L engine.

What mods?

That’s an awesome looking little tractor. Looks like a mini 1150. Sounds like it singing pretty good, how many rpm?

I’m not sure on what is done to these engines. Did not find a role book on them what can be done.

RPM. Some say run 10.000Rpm but this one 6500 to 8000RPM I think as the speed governor is taken off the fuelpump so is kind of free revving.

As for power if we can get 350 to 370Hp out of this 2.5L DTI running a V6 3L VNT Garrett @ 2.5Bar boost what will you get with 5 to 6 Bar boost running way more RPM out if these pullers? A lot more o think.

Yesterday. The last pulling event for the championship.

Volvo Ny Titan Sport class semi truck puller. Almost made it 4x champion, lost by only 5 point so second place in the championship this year.
We did know we need to upgrade the fuel system as it’s still stock to get more power out of this 16L engine. One of the options it to convert over to commonrail and maybe do a parallel development for the 13L Volvo D13K for truck racing as well.

Also Super results are there and we sot 4e overall with the MVJ3 truck by 20Cm so 5e place overall this year.

Engine from the MVJ2 truck goes better every time but still there is more and I hope we can test things on what ever pulling event are left this year to get more data and make progress.
