Piston Suggestions

Looking for some suggestions for a std bore 12v block. I scored some 24v pistons and when I had the rotating assembly balanced they removed material from the bottom of the piston bowl so I am considering them useless for this application. I am thinking of sticking with stock cummins piston but am not sure if there are any advantages of maybe using a common rail 03-05. My previous fueling setup made around 700 with the 12v head on it. Probably won't push it too far past that number.

Thanks,

Josh
