I believe it is a 3 micron. 99.9% sure on that one.

Anyone know the difference in LF 16035 and a LF 3894? Besides thr years their for?

I thought. Maybe it had a different micron rating.

You'd think they would just combine the two if that's all that's different.

It'd benice to have something to grip on when trying to remove the 3894.

I find that a wrap or two of duct tape around the filter BEFORE you put it on gives you enough grip to take it off by hand... Get good duct tape though as its not all created equal. I like the black 3M, its softer and makes it easier to grip, some of the cheap stuff is slick.

That's a good idea. Its usually my own fault, I over tighten everything. I've broke many bolts and parts by over tightening.

Whoever suggested writing the mileage and date on the filter.

Thanks Gene. I'll have to keep an eye on those for the Cummins annual price hike in January. But as of now we're good on those prices.
