Free shipping forever along with some updates

I’m pleased to announce several new exciting updates with SPI so here we go......

1. Free shipping on all products to retail/end users! We aggressively protect our retailer network so if our sole global wholesaler determines there isn’t a SPI Jobber/Retailer in your area they will gladly ship you our products FREE of charge via UPS or freight line! If we determine there is a retailer in your area that retailer will deliver that product for the same price for you at N/C. It’s that easy!

2. In the next 30 days all of our primers will be reformulated at no additional cost to you to now include 2 types of new nanotechnology microspheres which we feel will make them just that much better of a product. These nanotechnology microspheres will improve what we feel is already great sanding primers.

3. While we already use 2 different high grade UV protectors in each of our clears (some companies/products only use 1) our UV manufacturer has developed a new state-of-the-art UV ‘umbrella’ protector which acts as a UV protection umbrella over the 2 UV protectors which we already use. Simply put accelerated QUV testing proves this new product adds that much more long term UV protection to our products. While adding this product to our formulations raises the per gallon cost on our manufacturing level the price of our clears will remain unchanged.

4. No price increase for 2008! Of course we didn’t have one in 2007 either. Now that I think about our last price increase was August 2006! This is significant considering our industry has seen across the board annual increases of 5-8% annually for at least the last 10 years because actual gallonage consumptions has been shrinking 1% per year for at least 10 years (aka a shrinking market). While many of our raw materials from cans to resins to additives to solvents have had industry wide 3-15% price increases in 2007 the vast majority of these manufacturers have either given us a ‘reduced’ price increased, maintained last years pricing or lowered our pricing for two reasons: We are one of few US automotive coating companies whose gallonage production grew by double digits in 2007 (most are down double digits typically 15-19%!) and we always pay our bills the day they come in the mail. You can’t fathom how many companies have said "you aren’t our biggest customer but you are our best paying so we’ll gladly give you a better deal on..........." Instead of pocketing the money and raising prices we'll put the savings back into the product to prevent a price increase.

5. While we’ve made it to this point after 11 years because of our quality, our reputation and our pricing we’ve decided to allocate a respectable amount of money for advertising in 2008 to see what its worth. If it works it works if not it's a lesson learned. Please see our full page ad in SEMA’s Hotrod and Restoration 2008 Annual Buyer’s Guide (1/08) and look for at least several months of ½ page ads thereafter. As with 2007 we’ll be showing at the SEMA Hotrod and Restoration show in Indy February 2008. Come by and see us! In addition I’ve negotiated a 6 month ½ page commitment with Body Shop Business magazine as well. We experimented with a single ¼ page and a single full page ad with BSB in 2007 and were impressed with the results.
