07 classic dmax trans sensor issues

I'm working on an 07 classic for a friend he brought it to me not running. And said its was having an issue shifting.

I rebuilt the fuel filter housing and put a cam sensor in. Cleared codes runs great but the trans issues are here now.

When you put it in gear it's kinda hard taking gear. Throws the p0700 code which is basically from what I read a generic trans code to set the cel.
But there is also a p2764 code and that's it. Should I just do a solenoid/sensor kit. And should I replace the pressure switch manifold while I'm there.

Also I assume the torque converter clutch pressure control solenoid is under the pan?

Thanks ahead of time.

Yes, everything is in the pan. That code is for the converter circuit, but shouldn't cause it to shift funny. It's probably just going into gear hard because of the limp mode it's in. I'd suggest clearing everything, make sure the TCM / ECM program is stock and drive it to see what's going on.

More than likely it's a bad o-ring where the wire harness hooks to the trans. If the plug is wet with trans fluid it will show funky codes. Cheap and easy fix 9 times out of 10.

While the internal harness seeping through the pins is fairly common, I wouldn't say 9 / 10. Good idea to check that though, new harness is a hair over $100

Thanks guys. JWhite the truck tcm and ecm are bone stock. When put in gear it does bounce around a bit then goes to 3rd gear limp mode. I have cleared it. It does the same thing and throws the same code.

Ironmax if it is wet by the sensor. Drop the pan change the complete harness or should I just change the oring. Truck is at 200k so I'm kinda thinking just replace all the sensors and solenoids while I'm there.

Thanks again.

It throws the converter clutch code when sitting still?

The usual problem with the harness is they'll leak through the pins, pull the main plug on the passenger side rear. If it's wet just replace it

If it’s not leaking threw the internal harness (99% of the time that’s where it is) check the wiring under the hydro booster, had issue there too.

Have you dropped the pan to OHM any solenoids, or done any other diagnosis? If you want to put a pressure switch in it, go ahead.

You needed a camshaft sensor or it just had a code and you tossed parts at it?

I havnt had time to drop the pan yet.

The cam sensor was bad for sure yes it did have the code. It was still a no start after the filter housing rebuild. Put the new sensor in and it busted right off.

I'm not trying to make it sound like I'm just going to throw parts at it and hope I cover the problem. I'm just one if I'm there. And 1 sensor is bad let's just change them all so they are new. And should out last sensors with 200k miles. And the wire harness it sounds they seem to go bad with time. So just put a new one in to get rid of another potential issue. Then the pressure switch I didnt know if it would be worth changing or just leave it.

Thanks again.
