Injectors & Turbo combo for 02 7.3 work/pull truck.

Just recently picked up a 99 single cab that has an 01 harness and 02 motor Trans. It's my work truck and things bone stock. Looking to pull cattle and do some local pulls. Wondering what's a solid turbo and injector combo to have fun with and everyday drive. Picked up a TS chip to get me to Pismo but when I get back I wana tear into it. Also would I need a new HPOP and LPOP?image.jpg

The 02 motor is going to limit you on power because of the PMR rods. A good combo is a set of stage 3's and 38r turbo but with the PMR rods I would not go more that a stage2

If you want to keep it reliable and as a DD, get an adrenaline, honey badger hpop, a set of hybrid 238/80 and a 38r, or similar drop in turbo then get custom tunes for your pmr engine and drive it.. timing and custom tunes is EVERYTHING on a 7.3. This is assuming you have an exhaust and Intake already, if. Ot do that first... good luck and hope ur happy with it

If he's going to detune it for PMR's, why does he need an HPOP?

I'm running a bone stock HPOP on my truck with 250/200's, and it will hold 3000+ PSI with zero issues.

But yes tuning on a PMR motor is essential if it's going to live.

Some hpop are weaker than others. I'd save the pump for last. If the stock one holds pressure then leave it.... If it doesn't than swap it out

Get a stealth pump srp 1.1. I gained almost 200ft/lb of torque from the pump!!! Still stock sticks and turbo.

Get an Irate Regulated return, Adrenaline, 160/0 injectors, Gearhead tuning, and a whicked wheel in your stock turbo. This would be an ideal set up for you becuase if you decide to do forged rods and more power you only have $1300 invested in injectors and turbo wheel which you can make that up selling them. your on a stock transmission too so you dont want to push it incredibily hard. This setup i described is my favorite 7.3 combination thus far.
