DTC or MIL when eliminating oil pressure sensor?

Is there any reason to run the oil pressure sensor in a EFILive 2006 standalone application? The customer is running a mechanical gauge but didn't know if the ECM would derate fuel without oil pressure? I figured I'd ask.

You will need to disable the code and there is a check gauges light on in the factory trim, standalone no worries
