This is a constant battle with all my 3rd gens. Since all my trucks are pretty much the same, I buy the Oreileys lifetime warranty parts and all the trucks are covered forever. :evil
I tried replacing belts, they would stop the squeak for a couple months, then come right back. It is usually the alternator or tensioner that fixes it. I just swap chit out until it stops.
One thing I found recently is you can buy just the tensioner pulley for $15 from RockAuto. I bought a couple just to keep around.
