Got the 5.9 Cummins!
New to diesel, but not wrenchin. This is a great learning curve for me and I decided to tackle the 48RE trans as my first project. It was built before, but we added a few goodies and got some help from Dave at Goerend. The truck is new to my son and I, who thinks it's the coolest thing ever! It's got compounds, head studs, cam, injectors. He's planning to be at UCC soon and pulling a friends truck on the GN. Any advice for the trip and what to expect?

That should be a nice setup. You didn't mention gauges/tuner. Watching the pressures and temps will let you know if trouble is coming. Welcome

@56cummins - CTS3 for data plus boost and fuel rail pressure gauges. SmartyTuner at 100 setting. Haven't really played with as it came that way from PO. The truck is more of a daily driver with occasional GN towing, no more than 20K for now.

What to expect: An abusive relationship with your truck.
