Power loss

Last year on our 4 and 5 run our 4bt was running really good considering. The temperature was around 40 degrees. This year we didn't change anything and now it doesn't want to rpm and people are telling us that there doesn't seem to be as much smoke as there was last year. Anyone have any thoughts on what is going on?

Last year we tried with an old digital camera and it shut off before we left the starting line.

I would start by checking the timing.

If you knew what supply fuel pressure was vs what it is now, if the regulator is returning to much fuel, if you have speed check valves those are known for issues, if there is an injection pump issue, what are the cylinder temps? Or are you not monitoring exhaust temps individually? Are you running a water injection setup?
