run away VS electric pump

I want to turn the power screw up some more

Will the ve pump still draw fuel threw the electric pump, if the engine try's to run away, with the pump off

have a block off plate where the lift pump was

I get a puff of smoke coming off the line, then 5 ft out in clears up.

I had a similar question, but ultimately felt safest thing was putting in a valve to redirect fuel away from the pump. If it's something you're interested in, Ill share what I used

And if you're worried about runaway while racing, get a guillotine and place it in front of the turbo.

I assumed he meant the pump hanging up.

If an actual runaway is the issue, oldest is correct.

I can say from experience turning off the electric lift pump on a p7100 with a stuck rack made zero difference.
