Anyone ever heard of a 5999 trim code in a c12? I've worked on 3 now with that defaulted across all 6. I've been setting them back to what they supposed to be

5999? Were they all from the same place? I wonder if homeboy heard wrong and did 5999 instead of 6999?

I've never seen a grinder like this until today. It is basically it's own trailer. The machine has four pins that hook to the quad axle setup, there's a kingpin welded under the trough and off you go.

Our new Rotochoppers are that way too. Not quite as heavy though. C27 is awesome. Makes the C18s in our other grinders seem like toys

I used to run a Peterson 4710 with a C18. It had two exhaust manifolds and a turbo on each. I thought it was bad til I saw this thing in action!!!

You'll love the 13. I love my dads. Such a nice shifting easy driving transmission. I wish I could put one in my puller, just not practical.

I've driven couple trucks with them.. Definitely nice. Should last forever easily in a vehicle that never grossing more than 54,000lb and less 1400tq. Or whatever a 4-450hp 6cata 8.3 12v makes in TQ wise

Starting to get more excited about the swap/build/repower as parts come in..

Buy a good clutch...I got a standard replacement for my 5.9L 9 speed swap, and slipped it the first time I pulled a load with my 5.9L VP 24v. I think it's a 14" dual disk, but Mumau found me a heavier clutch...

I've talked with Dan at valair..Iirc think Dan said he could get upwards of 1600tq clutch for it.. been a while since I asked.
According to the VIN the 8.3 is supposed to have a 14*2" dual disc, 860tq rating..
Frieghtliner wants $6-650 for new OEM TQ.

See how much life is left of the OEM Clutch when I pull it.
It will currently do a burnout in the donor truck

Good deal...I'm pretty sure I got an 860tq clutch, and it didn't hold squat with the tuned VP in there...Mach 4's and a EZ will do that...

Valair clutch for an 8.3 in front of an Eaton 6 speed. Not even one mile on it yet.
