Hypethetical question?

Is it possible to somewhat reliably run around 900RWHP on fuel only out of a 5.9 CR motor and still tow with it? What kind of turbos and fuel system would one need. I know a well built bottom end would be needed.

Also any way to make a Manual transmission and clutch live up to that?

Thanks

Would running compound turbos help with the ability to still tow and keep the EGT's in check over a bigger single?

Yes on the engine and compounds, doubtful on the manual trans. Pretty sure firepunk's old white truck is over 1k and still tows.

It would be fine on the stock bottom end.

Yes, Lavon is well north of 1k and tows.

How heavy are you thinking about towing?

It would be nice to be able to tow whatever the 2500 is legal to tow, but its not a major priority, Im thinking maybe a 5090 Deere tractor.

Would a Dual disc clutch hold up , or is the manual trans itself the problem?

i cant speak for the manual trans, but stock bottom end and the right compound setup and say 150-200 overs and be good to her.

A 5090 without loader and attachments should weight around 8200# depending on fuel level and misc. Throw it on a 20 ft steel flatbed like a Big Tex 14 GP gooseneck that weighs 3500# or so...you'd be towing just shy of 12,000# plus attachments.

If a hobbit can throw Matt's truck on a large GN, tow it all the way to Texas, unhook and spank everyone on the dyno at over 1K, then tow it home.....yes, we all know it is possible and has been proven. It might cost you some cash in a few mods and a tune. Call Lavon and ask his opinion on what you need.

The G-56 is not part of the solution.... This is my truck last month. 550-600hp CPP “Extreme G-56” and 6k miles. Saving for a semi-built 48re.

Un-mute for sound.

Also bare in mind the truck in video was empty with 37’s.

A G56, small compounds, and 37’s is retarded man...

But I didn’t have to point that out, you made it obvious by telling us you gave money to CPP for a rebuilt g56

Other than the CPP aspect what makes this “Retarded”. I live near and work in the city. Smoking out entire blocks is highly frowned upon not to mention illegal. They actually made a Law last year specifically against it. $500 and 2 points.

Can hear in the video why the transmission broke. You let out on the clutch half way through the shift. Hardened or not, you can not expect a gear to hold that load on about 1/3 engagement when you have 37" tires.
