I am interested to knew, whats the difference betweent those two font axles:
00-02 Ram front axle Dana60
03+ Ram (gen3) front axle AAM9.25
Visually they are very close and even brake calibers are the same!
How about :
ball joints
hubs
differential
And question abot rear axles as well.
1. 00' Ram 2500 rear axle is Dana 70, its with drum brakes
Are the axle shafts same as in 97 Dana70 or not? They looks very similar, but 00 axle is wider ,but axle tube diameter and end plate is same as in ' 97
2. 01 Ram 2500 rear axle Dana70 with disc brakes.
Its visually totally different than 00 or 97 axle . Axle tube is bigger than 97 and end plate (e-brake and disc brake caliber mounting plate) is totally differnt .
3. 04 Ram 2500 rear axle AAM11.5 with disc brakes.
Its visually same as 01 Dana70 with disc brakes !! Even the end plate and axle tube diameter are the same.
