That's awesome man, I wonder how many pumps have been changed that have that same problem. I'm almost positive my buddies truck had the same code and symptoms, he just threw a pump on it. I'm gonna tell him about this thread. Good job!

This is a cool find. I would bet that ribbon has a cracked trace directly across from where it tore,as it goes in to the seal body.

I think you are right.

BTW This is the only seller i found in the US who has the sensors.

Glad to hear that worked out for you. Most shops won't sell them because TECHNICALLY, you are supposed to calibrate the pump afterward and measure lift timing etc. But obviously it will work without doing that. That was probably actually caused by careless handling during the rebuild process.
