I have a skid of leftover crap I told Jory I'd send him once I got the engine swap into the tractor done.

Compressor steering pump, manifold, etc.

Honestly, all the stuff he has is way more useful to Brad and I than it is him. All you darn truck guys don't need the ag parts.

Need to know center of crank to center of fan distance that you need, and any left or right offset.
Yes, he should.

Very cool. Thanks for checking. Not sure as to what distance to crank or offset I need since I have nothing to go by. Being its a replacement, I have not the foggiest clue what I need. I just hope this isn't much longer than the 8.2L Detroit. Not sure how much room I will have. I'm just pleased that I don't have to put a cooler up front.

Bell housing....I need to get the plate info of my tranny this weekend. He/She is never home anymore. I was told the one on the motor is a SAE 1. Not sure if I have an Eaton or Spicer 5-speed.

Sorry to sound so dumb. Medium class junk is out of my wheelhouse still.

And you are greatly appreciated, Sir. What I don't use, I'll pay forward to Brad if he needs any of it.

In for the build. You gonna keep it fairly well close to stock with some pump mods or have that joker poppin wheelies with ten ton of rock on it?

Seriously. looking at his P7100 ag gov industrial engine and thinking that it's going in a truck is making me sick.

It looks like a SAE 3 housing at a glance, 2 is more normal for a 8.3.

Serial number?

Yes. Fairly stock with some pump tweakin'. I'll put boost and EGT gauges on it so I can monitor it. As long as it burns fairly clean and has some power I'll be happy.

Kid told me it was a SAE 1, but who knows. I'll have to measure it.

Doesn't have Case IH on the tag anywhere, does it?

SAE flywheel housing sizes are commonly identified incorrectly. 1 is actually bigger than a 3, people usually ID them wrong.

Fukkers.

If the casting number on the housing is easy to see, let us know.

Ok. I might get lucky every now and then, but no way would I be lucky enough to find something without a basterdized ECN.

Sorry, pal. It's is Engineering Change Notice (ECN) around here. That is what happens when I multi-task. I copied that out of my email to you so apparently yesterday is when I goofed it. I've been working on ECN's. And on top of that, my fingers are swelled and sore from gardening the last few days at home. This is the first time since our wedding that I've had to take my ring off. Chub-nubs are killing me.

I'll try harder.

So, I'm trying to learn this mechanical junk. Other than being dizzy as hell, I have formed a few questions.

Let's start with "is an Ag motor going to be set with a lower RPM (governor spring) than a auto motor? Are the gov springs going to need to be swapped? Is guessing it to be set at 3000 max a good assumption?

Decent vid, but needs some camera work.

Possible. Nice thing is the top end can usually be raised by adjusting the stop screws on the linkage...not a ton, but usually enough.

Is it worth the effort to replace the banjo bolts on the lift pump side of the IP with AN's to increase a little flow and get rid of the 90 deg turns for more laminar or is that to stupid because this is the worlds best pump and it doesn't care?

I'm worried about the lift pump I have. It wasn't being used. It was bypassed with an electric pump. It might be crap. Not sure yet.
