I wanna hear feedback on the 6th addition. I wonder if they will hold up to the power? My plan is to regear my 5th with a euro fifth in the spare trans I have sitting in the garage.
and im saying 200+hp

Cant wait to see the engine done Leonard!!!

I'm definitely interested in the 6spd conversion. I just wanted more go fast goodies first!

Mark my biggest driving point for the 6 gear conversion is the fact that the gear ratios for 1-4 don't change any. With swapping in the 6 speed the shift points for gears 1-4 are closer together so daily driving you are having to shift more often around town.
I have started looking at LSDs but haven't made the purchase yet. Thinking I might just have my dad send my transmission to the guys at Bora to do the install since its sounding like I might be on the other side of the pond for a few more months.

Score! That's one good looking little ride...I'd love to get a little 2dr TDI as a commuter so I could park the Magnum. What are your long term plans for her?

Those are TSW Nurburgring RF Wheels gunmetal with machine face 19x8.
I'm currently rebuilding the motor with a few upgrades including girdle, coated Pistons stage 2 colt cam and forged rods. I also have a front mount inter cooler and upgraded two piece rotors and 4 piston calipers for the front breaks.

The 19x8 that I have is 20.55 but they don't feel it.
Widest they have is a 17x9 which is 19.2 lbs.

I actually just stopped to think about this. I plan on running a 285x35ishr17. So I'd actually prefer a 10" with that short a sidewall. I may have to jump up to an 18, or down to a 16. I hate the tire and wheel game.

Tell me about it Mike with the offset and making sure that there is plenty of clearance. I'm upgrading my brakes so wheels had to be 18" or larger.

that really sucks. At least that cuts down your size options
Since I have plenty of height clearance now with 245/45r17, I'm just going to subtract about 1/2" of backspacing, and if I need more, I'll run a mm spacer or something. That's the plan anyways, no idea if I'll get lucky or not.

SO this is what I found when I pulled the engine apart. #2 piston hit the cylinder wall. So over size replacement were bought and sent to swaintech for coating. And I just got them back today. Can't wait to get this thing rolling again.
