Look what I found on gaybay!

that is 100% for sure Lloyd's old truck, that truck has been through hell and back, and somehow it's still running, on a STOCK bottom end....

how the heck do you get in contact with the guy that bought it? he should at least be told how to drive the truck, that shifter handles 1 2 3 shifts, switches control lockup/ overdrive.

I thought he still had to go through it to get it right. ..and it should have a full manual VB. Coild be why they think it has a bad trans.

I bet they didn't know how to shift it using the lockup switches, and shifter knob and blew something. word is that it currently has stock injectors in it causing it to run like ass, just can't spool the hair dryers.

Lloyds truck was a stick shift. Thanks Steve B.

Steve,
You were correct, however,he swapped it to a fully built Goerand Auto/Manual valve body after many manual explosions.

yes it was a stick shift, converted to auto trans.........

That would be spot on Mike.

Do you have any clue how much nitrous has been through that motor... Hundreds of bottles...

Not as much as yours, but,Lloyd had no fear and didn't need to hide he was using it.

There is your answer to the belt question, stock injectors.

When chatting with the people who had it,it was easy to understand what happened to the trans and why it was placed for sale. They simply had zero clue as to why it did not run or how to make it run and what killed the trans. That truck had seen better days but was still a stout piece for someone who had the time to resurrect it.We bid on it but it got above what we wanted to pay for it as I have always wanted it.When the truck was clean and properly detailed way back it really was a nice looking truck and the fact it was a 3500 made it all the better. Its sad to know it went like this and I wish those who knew it got repo'd (Thanks Coop) would have let other members of our club know about it.

once again there is more to the story than what is read or assumed.

I would agree with Josh, while many mistakes were made by him and some may not be forgiven by some, people are,no were,to quick to judge him as they had no idea what he was really dealing with.I just hope he gets a chance to piece his life back together.

well put andy! only a few know the entire story for the point source everyone else just assumes what they want the story to be.

wish you would have gotten it. you know it sold for less than that at auction when the first guy bought it. sad. i wouldnt be afraid to own/drive that truck either, if i were in a different spot in my life i would have bid on it.

There are a few ways of looking at this from my end. At the time I was told about the truck going back to the bank I told the informant to let me know what bank and all details. I herd no more from said individual. I also really was no in a position to buy it anyway as we were expecting another child, finishing our basement as well as refinancing our home and the thought of closing costs. In the end it really was not my business to spread word of a guys misfortune for another's personal gain.
