Ford 7610s won't crank!!!!
History: Tractor caught fire around the engine compartment. mostly contained to the radiator/battery area. fuel return lines melted and fuel bowl mush! wiring harness is a mess!
Any way, Can't seem to get it to crank. has fuel going to pump but wont push any to injectors. No air in line and fuel is clean... New fuel shutoff, new return lines.etc
Pulled it around about 1 1/2 miles and it don't even smoke!
What am I missing?
Thanks
William

Mechanical lift pump diaphragm melted? Or internal pump seals ruined?
Probly has inline simms pump. A somewhat weird pump. Make sure it has oil in it.

Snyder: Cracket two injector lines pulled it 1.5 miles in eigth gear.....no spewing of fuel(tank is full) so all air should go to the top of the sed. bowl and bleed it self. I've even put pressure on the tank and fuel came out of the line at the pump!
600: Electrical shut off(melted in fire, replaced)
Fever: no lift pump, just a priming pump above filter. and itsfull of fuel and plenty of fuel at back of inj pump. The pump is a rotary,
New Holland 7610S 4 CYL AG TRACTOR
I wonder if a piece of melted plastic or water that we put the fire out with has found its way into the pump.

How close was the fire to the pump?
If it melted the electric shut off, it very easily could have melted more important things inside the pump.
Are you getting juice to the electric shut off?

BTW, is that a CAV injection pump? Looking online at the parts, it kinda looks like it. If it is, they are a ROYAL PITA to get bled out, and they WILL NOT start until you get them bled.

Sig, yea its a cav (guessing) the fire got to the id plate, not bad just illegible. It IS a PITA to bleed but there wasn't any fuel coming out of the inj lines after it was pulled a long distance.
Still nursing a hangover and scratching my head today!!
Happy New Year!

Where was that tractor built? Cheaper tractors have cheaper parts...not much you can do to change that anymore! Not knocking NH either, all the OEM's do it anymore!
Just FYI, those CAV's will NOT start even when pulled if you don't have the top and bottom bleeders bled completely!
I know that wasn't the case this time, but just in case. They really suck!

Not quite sure where it was built but I do know that they were made in the U.S.
The wiring harness was made in mexico(that is why the unemployment rate is 9.8%) and is too short in places and the color code is different!!!!
