Works out. Did you go with a trans brake vb?

It should work. No trans brake, for now

20:1 HD series pistons finally made it to Kingspeed
Block is in the final stages, decided to fill it.
Helping my buddy dave prep for this season, got the triple comp valair in, and nv4500 swap mounted on a custom brace. Plans to instal air/water cooler and build a front mount weight box.
Sold the mishimoto to go with something that better suits what I'm doing.
Got almost all the fluids for the drag truck.
New favorite beer
Decided to not use the runner intake I built due to the nearly 40# it ended up being. Going with a BANKS intake since it's the only one that will fit without an adapter. Just need a little mill work done and it will fit.
All in all sort of had time to re evaluate my plans for the drag truck, going to leave the engine close to its factory position instead of moving so far back with altered firewall and all the safety jazz for that. K.I.S.S.

Nothing much going on with the truck, nailed down a final decision on front axle and it's not the Dana 44. The intercooler showed up and it looks great, weighs 39lbs. Banks is back ordered on intake manifolds for at least another 6 weeks... had a great time at UCC, fleece/freedom, and the speedway.
Brayden took dmigz57 and I on about an hour tour of the shop from the production side to inventory, nicest group of folks I've ever met.
Milliken got the keys to show us around freedom
She toughed it out all weekend except 1 night
Finally got to meet Austin (97rada) while he was helping the firepunk camp
Dmigz57 (left) and I standing behind the bricks

Did you see that banks is making a 6.7 specific manifold?

They haven't even begun the drawings yet, and rich said the only difference would be the ability to mount the 6.7 rail without any modification.

Wouldnt it be easier to just send out a set of spacers with the 5.9 manifold?

Interested in some opinions here. As I was reading the machinists intstructions from banks the sealing surface on the head must be 85 degrees to the head gasket surface.
With as much as my head has been milled already should I attempt to install as instructed or mill the rest of the area under the valve cover and let it sit flush with a different angle than anticipated by banks.
I'm leaning towards not trying to put an angle in the head. I'm ok with the lines needing slight adjustment.

Getting the 6.7 rail to fit the 5.9 intake sucks a bit.. Filling all the holes with a welder and machining the rail isn't too but, just not fun for sure.
Bump for update.
