Just wondering people's opinion on the best or strongest tcase to run in a 2.6 dodge behind a nv4500? A 241DHD or 271? Or something else? Thanks.

I have a 271 in mine and have approximately 125 passes on it and have never touched it.

That's kinda what I figured, I'm leaning towards a 271 I made about 25 passes last summer with my 06 mega and never an issue and two friends have 2.6 trucks that are 1000 plus at the wheels and no issues. Thank you. Any idea a good place to find one? I actually need slot of things.. np271, cr head, front gear case for p pump to cr block. Let me know thank you

I have a 271 case. Rebuilt with 2 seasons on it oul changed every season.

I have a 271F which supposedly is a direct match to the newer 241hd with floor shifter. It has a 34 spline input shaft which can easily be swapped.

271f in my 2.5, going on season 4 untouched. Gonna see how it likes a 3" charger this year. Not too worried.
