47RH Rebuild Kit

Looking to rebuild my 47RH and upgrade things a little. I have been searching and reading old threads and am still not sure what all I should do. Looking for something for a safe 350-400hp. Will go with a DPC single clutch converter. Thinking about using a shift kit and maybe other parts or ideas. What about a Revmax rebuild kit? GPZ or Red Alto clutches? I'm open to suggestions.

I had an old DTT single disc and it overheated and warped the cover after around 80k mi. Valve body was DTT's circa 2002 I think. I now have DPC 4 disc.
Might be that it was a single.. or the pressure wasnt enough to keep it locked at low RPM with a load. My trans likes to upshift and lug the motor no matter what I do. since its in all gears Id guess its a governor setting versus valve body.
IF there are any valve body options for constant apply pressure for the TCC ID look into that. Might be why mine died. Never been able to get a solid answer on whether low RPM affects line pressure and thus lockup apply pressure.
Something to consider, so youre less likely to have those issues later on.

Check out power driven diesels diy rebuild kits. Quite a few affordable options depending on power level.

Thanks for the suggestions. Not sure when I will get around to doing the overhaul. Still have to decide on exactly what I am going to do with the 47RH.
