LB7 transfer case rebuild

Getting ready to do a rebuild on my 03 263xhd transfer case. I have all of the seals and bearings as well as a new rear case half and pump rub fix plate and new chain. My truck suffered pump rub a while ago and my 4x4 went out however it still works fine in 2wd and 4lo doesnt work but it gears it down in 2wd.There is a good amount of tiny metal debris in the fluid that i keep an eye on regularly. Does anyone know what component inside the transfer case would cause this? I was thinking probably the shift fork but would like to have the parts on hand before i tear into it to limit the amount of suprises I may have.

you say it "suffered" from a pump rub, as in it actually wore the case significantly? that is probably where your metal debris is from if so.

Make sure your front axle disconnect is working.
