What is the Bluegrass Super Pull?

The 1st Annual Bluegrass Super Pull will take place November 12-14, 2009 at THE ARENA in Corbin, Ky. “This event will change the face of pulling, both nationally and regionally.” said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell. “THE ARENA is a first class, state of the art facility located in a fan friendly area with unlimited potential.” commented McConnell.

This event will replace the winter event originally to be held in Liberty, Kentucky. The Bluegrass Classic, featuring the top pullers from the BOB Series with a chance to win a new Eagle Tractor, will take place on November 13 during the Bluegrass Super Pull.

THE ARENA is a new facility, being opened just under one year. Rodeos and Monster Truck shows have taken place in the facility, and THE ARENA has 5,000 permanent seats. THE ARENA also has full food and beer concessions, as well as plenty of pit parking. The pulling track should be between 230 to 250 feet.

Tickets for this event and a full class schedule will be available after Labor Day. Pulling classes will include Work Stock Diesel Trucks, Hot Farm Tractors, Pro Farm Tractors, Light Limited Super Stock Tractors, Pro Street Diesel Trucks, Outlaw Diesel Trucks, Pro Stock 4WD Trucks and Farm Stock Tractors. Also to be pulling include the new Outlaw Super Stock Tractor class which will feature Light Wt. Alcohol Tractors, Diesel Super Stock Tractors, Super Farm Tractors and Pro Stock Tractors competition in the same class. The Super-Modified 2WD Trucks will also be pulling.

They were wanting input on how to run some 2.8 trucks with the 3.0 unlimited driveline trucks together and give a weight advantage to the 2.8s. At the time they were thinking that they would not get enough 2.8 trucks to fill two nights of qualifing. They are suppose to let me know if they are still planning on doing this?

How much weight do you think the 2.8 will need to be competitive with 3.0 open drivelines.

you'd hafta leave the 2.8 class at the 8000-8500 range like normal and make the 3.0 class lighter. Certainly don't want to make the OEM driveline 2.8 trucks heavier... their drivetrain is already crying at the weight they are at currently... making them heavier would hurt them more than help IMO. But what do I know. ;)

Dang keyboard pullers! :lolly:

I agree. it would probally be something like the 3.0 at 8000 and then the 2.8 at like 8300-8400-8500? what ever would be a good way to even the field.

and again, they did this cause they are worried about the number of the 2.8 trucks.

What about smoke tube? Entree Fee's each night? and do you have a set of rules on the Super Stock 2wd Gasser class. My dad is wondering if its similar to the rules his truck runs so he can pull there aswell.

Way to be optimistic. Murfreesboro, TN indoor hook in the winter has beer and it's not bad at all... Maybe this won't be either....

Im done being optimistic with people drinking. ALMOST all of them drink and drive or act stupid. Im sorry, but that is just how it is most of the time.

Smoke tubes will be needed, it will be Hagers system, i think there are blueprints on pulloff.com.

As far as rules, you will need to contact kevin fulks and ask him.

Entry Fee for the indoor is 150 bucks, i think this includes 2 pit passes.
