Been a long while since I’ve posted last. Been busy with the new family, debated selling it but came back to my senses. Started to rework the not so great job I did on the firewall the first go around. Hoping to get some time to work on it today.

Jl12valve- I am in the same boat, had a little girl born on 9/11 so I get just a few hours on sats to work on my 56 project. Keep at it, no rush, just enjoy the family and the project when you can

Managed to get the interior painted, kilmat sound deadening mat in place and some better seat brackets built up over the past couple days. Also got working on some drawings for my three 8” subs. It will also house my deck, which will be sealed from the sub cavity, that way I don’t have to cut up the dash.

39 dodge welding rig
With that much cool factor, who cares that it’s 2wd. Good job on getting it rolling under its own power.
But we need some better pictures of engine compartment and interior setup. Or a video of the whole rig.
What brand welder are you setting on the bed?

Hahaha I’m sorry guys, I’ve never been able to master the photos on here. Might be time to setup photobucket or whatever is best to get the pics coming out straight. If I ever get around to finding a welder for it it’ll be an old Lincoln sa250 black face

It was always my first plan with the build but got a wild hair and built the 4x4. Didn’t like how it was turning out and simply don’t enjoy climbing into things lol. Nice to be able to drop right in.

Milled the wheels, wrapped them and slapped them on. One small step at a time

That looks great.
Too many old trucks today made to look like they are in bad condition. Yours has just the right flavor for me.

Yes. It's very well done.
Looks like it's been used and cared for, with an emphasis on used. But not abused or neglected.
