2015 Pacific Coast Diesel Nationals July 11th At Woodburn Dragstrip

Rob with Max'd Out, Wade Minter from Texas, Brian Spooner from Canada, Jarid Vollmer with Bully Dog. The Batmobile from G & J. Jarid will be driving that for Brad as well. Russ's Nova from Cali with the dmax, Michael will be driving that.

According to Russ, owner of nova that Rob was driving, said car got sideways at the 800-900' mark. Got into the wall. Everyone ok he said.

Mechanical failure of some sort, went through its own oil...Rob did a great job of trying to save it. Didn't hit any of the chassis, just sheetmetal, so it actually looks worse than it is. New bumpers, trunk, fender, door, grille (all 'glass parts) and quarter, and should be good to go. Sounds like a lot of parts, but it could have been much worse. Both Rob and Russ were class acts on how they handled it. Car went 1.29 60ft and 5.70 in the 1/8th without much nitrous, so it was cookin.

Rob did an awesome job wheeling, and I'm very glad he is ok. The car was definitely on a mission getting to the 1320'. 7.6sec sliding sideways through the 1000' mark would have been a mid to low 8sec pass no doubt, just glad the wheel man didn't get hurt, toys can be replaced!

How did Kipp's black RCSB dodge do?

According to live feed, it broke in qualifying on his first pass, can't remember if it was 11.90 or 10.90 index but he was running quite a bit faster than the index based on the other truck in the other lane and then around 1000' white/grey smoke and he coasted. Could have been as simple as a blown boot or major failure like tranny on the OD shift or blown turbo.
