[Q] 24v vs CR Tappets

Looking at cams and see Colt recommends 24v tappets when doing the Big Stick cam. Is it different material or size?

Dumb question because there is a reason they are suggesting but...Has anyone had an issue with standard CR tappets and this cam? I would assume it's a cam wear concern?

24V and cr tappets have more surface area than 12v

I assumed this held for common rail? Or was it meant for 12v?

you need to atleast run the 24v tappets due to the larger area available for the lobe to run on (0.200" bigger diameter I believe). The common rail tappets are bigger yet by another 0.200", which won't hurt anything but isn't necessary for what they are supplying.
