Plasma and Tig

I bought a Lotus LT5000 plasma for $380 on eBay. 220v or 110v capable and it cuts plate step up to 3/4" thick. It has worked very well for me and I've cut up to 3/8" at 28A.

Properly sized stuff is a must if it is to be used often.
I had a miller 375 extreme plasma. Great for body tin and thats about all I could stand.
I have used some harbor freight stuff and cheap no name plasma torches and 220 in my opinion is a minimum.
I also like a big giant tig so it can not be easily loaded up in a truck to go to the neighbors house. Minimizes the freebies and brain damage of transport and breakage etc.

For plasma, buy from somebody that does nothing but cutting tools. Like hypertherm or thermal dynamics. Companies like Miller was just to make more money because it says miller. I would only buy welders from a company like Miller or Lincoln nothing else.
