Rebuilding trans for a few reasons. Broke the 2nd gear apply lever and had a bad experience with a local trans builder. So I will be upgrading a few things have parts I have collected.

Tcs Arizona 2 piece billet input
5 pinion steel front planetary
10 rivet borg warner band
Tcs billet 4.2 lever
Superior billet low /reverse servo
Sonnax zero leak servo cover
New pump gears
New sprags
Paper and rubber gasket kit
Alto high energy rebuild kit with steels
Overdrive bearing

Will not be upgrading current torque convertor was told to be a twin disk. Was holding everything I put it through. Funds aren't there for it as it is a toy

Might be missing some things. Goal will be to upgrade the clutch counts to 5 forward 6 direct and overdrive clutch packs. I noticed when I was tearing down burnt overdrive direct steels, sloppy overdrive planetary, broken 2nd gear apply lever. I will be working on this project when I can and update. I have never been in a transmission in my life so any advice from anyone.

Finally got some time to work on it tonight. There are noticeable differences in shaft size and hole size from billet to stock shafts. Seems to have much smaller holes on billet input. I will post up hole size and shaft sizes next time I'm at the shop.

Got the stock pressure plate turned down and will be fitting (6) .061 frictions and (6) .70 steels I'll post a picture when I get the drum assembled

Had read bigblue24 threads bunch of great info thumbs up! I decided I would use in my build he's a picture of the direct drum set up in a mill

Did the 4 hole fluid evacuation mod and added a fluid feed hole shown in picture below

Low/ reverse servo appears to be worn badly on the pin. Also had a heck of a time getting the oversized servo sleeve out of the case I will be going back to the stock servo and sonnax zero leak cover. On one of my books show and tells how to drill and tap a 10-32 In the servo fluid hole. Has anyone done this mod to the stock servo?

Direct drum clutches (6) .061 alto high energy clutches with pics of the machined stock pressure plate to fit stock .070 steels with .015 clearance per clutch. Also used a thinner snap ring.

Also here is the rear clutch with (5) .061 clutches and .070 steels and using a rear clutch reaction plate as the pressure plate.

with the th400 snap ring I still need to turn reaction plate to fit the snap ring to get proper clearance.here is a picture of a new 5 pinion steel front planetary installed.
