Save some money on 6.0L filters Save some money on 6.0L filters

Many people are already aware of this, but those that are not, this should help your wallet out.

If you have an International dealer anywhere near you, start buying your filters there for you Powerstrokes. Here is a real life example - Checkers Auto parts has 6.0L fuel filters priced at $79.99 (and thats for Fram) My local International dealer has them priced at $40.24 (thats for international brand). So your looking at saving half price.

Here is the catch, you can't go and ask for 6.0L filters at International, as there 6.0L is different than a Powerstroke 6.0L. Ask for filters for the VT275. The VT275 is actually a 4.5L for International but uses the same filter housings as our 6.0L Powerstrokes.

Part Numbers
Fuel Filters - 1847170C93 (International Part #)
Oil Filter - 1840752C91 (International Part #)

If I missed anything else please add in your knowledge. Hopefully this saves Powerstroke owners a little change.

All the International dealers around here require a VIN to pull parts. Just to keep the ford guys out of the loop. I got a Vin off of a ebay auction just to buy from them.

They didn't make the VT365 (6.0L) in 1996.

Hey guys! Advance Auto Parts here carries the Motorcraft Fuel, Oil, and Air Filters. They have really great prices. Much less than buying them from the dealer for genuwine Motorcraft.

You can also use Fleetguard filters:

Oil is Part #LF16166

Fuel Filters are Part #FS19797

As I understand it, this is what International uses on their motors, and they are wayyyyyy cheaper than Motorcraft or Racor.
